The Whole-Body Approach at R3 Health

There is no denying that the human body is incredibly complex. When working efficiently, it is a well-oiled, organic machine. At any given point during the day, your body is working simultaneously on hundreds of thousands of small tasks to complete a larger goal- maintaining life. These biochemical reactions are happening without any noticeable effort from you. While we rarely ever praise our body for all the wonders it does on its own, we quickly notice when the biochemical processes are failing us.

We notice feeling fatigued and lethargic, the inability to sleep, muscle and joint pain, gastrointestinal issues, and the list goes on and on. When these problems are detected, we take a visit to a primary care doctor who, in turn, likely refers you to a specialist to address your concern. The specialist will throw medications at you to “solve” the problem and sends you on your way. While the medications may help the symptoms subside, they tend to just mask the issue and not address the root cause of what is happening. What caused your well-oiled machine to have these issues in the first place?

That’s where R3 Health steps in! It is our fundamental belief that to treat any ailment, we must identify what cog in the machine stopped working efficiently and affected the body’s ability to get necessary biochemical processes completed. To do this, we recommend a couple of very important things:

Take better care of your cells

All health issues start on a cellular level and most of those issues are due to a lack of production of energy. As referenced by the National Institute of Health, malfunctioning mitochondria (the powerhouse of the cell) has been linked to several chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, Parkinson’s, and more1. If you think about it, it makes sense. When batteries are running out of energy the item using the battery slowly stops working. Your cells are not much different. Ok, they’re very different, but you get the gist of it. No energy = nothing gets done. If your mitochondria are malfunctioning, the cells won’t make enough energy to get their jobs done.

What is there to do about this, you might be wondering? Stimulate those mitochondria! There are many ways to stimulate mitochondrial function, but some of our favorites are full body red light therapy, NAD+ IV therapy, and NMN supplementation.

Check your biochemistry

Mitochondrial dysfunction increases as we age, however it impacts everyone differently. This is why it is important to keep up with your bloodwork. Our comprehensive panel checks everything from hormone levels to organ functions to micronutrient levels and so much more. It generates a big picture understanding of how your body is working, where it needs support, and any areas that might require additional specialty testing.

If your car’s check engine light came on, you wouldn’t slap a band aid on the engine and call it a day. You’d have the mechanic run a diagnostic test and do everything that is needed to have the car run effectively. Your body deserves the same treatment. Call us today (561) 331-2983, to get started on your whole-body wellness journey.
