Peptide Therapy

Peptide Therapy

Peptides have become increasingly popular in the field of regenerative medicine because of their promising therapeutic benefits in many different areas of health. With many different types of peptides and different routes of administration, there is a peptide option to help you achieve all of your health, wellness, and even beauty goals.

What is a Peptide?

The human body actively uses 20 amino acids to perform biological functions. It does this by linking the amino acids together to create different substances. Peptides specifically are formed when between 2 and 50 amino acids are bonded together. Often referred to as short chain amino acids, peptides can be a blend of any of the 20 amino acids utilized by the body. Peptides’ amino acid arrangement and length influences its role in the body.

A majority of peptides used clinically are naturally occurring within the body, like BPC-157 which is naturally occurring in gastric juices. However, this is not the case for all peptides utilized at R3 Health. As science progresses, new peptides are synthesized to offer patients more healing potential than ever before. An example of a synthesized peptide is CJC/Ipamorelin, which stimulates your body’s natural production of growth hormone. Whether naturally occurring or synthesized, peptides have shown promising therapeutic benefits.

Peptides work by acting as a chemical messenger for your cells, letting them know that something needs to be addressed, repaired, or stimulated.
