Let’s face it, no one – neither men nor women – wants to go through life with a double chin. Not only does it make you look heavier and older than you are, but it could be a symptom of a health problem. Let’s talk about how Kybella can help in this article.
Submental fullness – the clinical name for a double chin — can be the result of weight gain, genetics or aging. But you don’t have to be overweight to develop a double chin. And no matter how much you diet and exercise, it won’t go away.
Whatever the cause, it’s something that concerns most people. In fact, according to a survey conducted by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), 67% of those surveyed were bothered by the fat beneath their chin. And they found it just as unattractive as having lines and wrinkles around and under their eyes.
The good news is you don’t need risky cosmetic surgery to trim the fat under your chin or anywhere else on the body in fact and improve your profile. All it takes is Kybella®. It’s an FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells to make you look – and feel – years younger.
Kybella is the product name for synthetic deoxycholic acid, a natural, anti-aging solution. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in your body that helps break down and absorb dietary fat.
In fact, Kybella can be injected into a variety of areas on the regions like the arms, abdomen, and outer thighs to improve the body’s overall contour. This simple quick treatment permanently destroys fat and tightens the skin surrounding the area treated.
In a relatively simple, outpatient procedure, Kybella is injected using an area-adjusted dose of 2mg/cm2. A single treatment consists of up to a maximum of 50 injections, .02 mL each spaced 1-cm apart.
When injected into subcutaneous fat, Kybella causes the destruction of fat cells. Once these cells are destroyed, they can no longer store or accumulate fat in your chin or any other fatty area so further treatment is not necessary once you’re satisfied with the results.
The number of treatments varies from patient to patient. Each KYBELLA treatment is given at least one month apart and should not exceed more than six treatments. Most patients do achieve ideal results after only ONE treatment!
Temporary side effects of Kybella treatment may include, but are not limited to: swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness, and areas of hardness. However, in clinical studies, only 4 out 100 experienced ‘minimal side effects’ and 2 out of 100 had ‘moderate side effects, which resolved itself on average within three days.
Here at R3 Health, we specialize in a wide range of natural anti-aging aesthetic treatments. These include:
• Botox and dermal fillers – which help eliminate frown lines, crow’s feet, and pesky aging lines and volume loss
• PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) facials – in which your bodies’ own growth factors act to promote the growth of your own collagen, regenerating tissue, and thus naturally smoothing and tightening you skin.
• Hair rejuvenation – in which PRP is used to help repair damaged and injured tissues in your scalp, thus re-growing hair.
These services – along with Kybella treatments – are aimed at making you look younger and feeling confident about your appearance.
Before starting your Kybella treatment, we’ll first carefully examine the area under and around your chin or area of concern and consider your medical history to determine if this option is right for you. If so, we’ll tailor your treatment to the amount of fat in the area and your specific aesthetic goals.
At RenewU Medical, we’re committed to educating our patients about natural anti-aging solutions and ensuring optimal health and wellness.
